Why I’m Believing for Heaven on Earth

glory unfolding

The Lord just dropped further understanding into me re: a vision He gave me a long time ago (in ’05 or ’06).

To recap, He came to me in the vision, looking all gorgeous in His dress blues, as the Commander in Chief (President of the US), and told me “there’s gonna be a hostile takeover at the highest level.”

This was back in the day when I never watched the news and had little to zero understanding of what was going on politically in this country, and had NO idea who Obama was, let alone that he would someday be our president.

In the dream, I wasn’t worried. I was dressed as a child (like in “Little House on the Prairie”) in a white nightgown – (representing the fact that I was walking in the pure faith of a child, talking to my Father in heaven)… so I just trusted Him with what He was telling me, even though I wasn’t sure what it would mean, and said to Him, “Well, I know you guys got this, so I’m just gonna take my dog, go home and rest.”  Then the vision was over.

As I prayed through the vision, the understanding He gave me was, things are gonna get real rough, but as long as you keep your trust in Me, with the faith of a child, and carefully guard your heart, you’ll be fine.

And even though we have a person filling the role of President in our nation, God is ultimately the One who rules over all things, because He is the King of Kings, and HE rules and reigns over everything, including our oval office, if we but trust Him in that role, right?

And while things may look bleak for awhile, rest assured that our God in heaven has the final say, AND the ultimate victory over everything, even the things that make no sense to us, or seem overwhelming.

Just now I was talking about this vision with my husband, and restating our need to realize and remember the fact that we are victorious in Christ, and WE (in Christ) are the “hostile takeover,” NOT the devil…

And because we have Jesus in us, along with the backing of all of heaven, as well as all the other millions of believers in the world, we overwhelmingly conquer, and overcome the world, just as Jesus did, because He now lives in us.

Then I was reminded of the verse in Matt 11:12 that says: “From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.”

And I was thinking “why John the Baptist” and not Elijah, or Moses, or some other significant person written of in the Bible? What was unique for John the Baptist, what did he do?  And what is “it?”

Well, the obvious answer to the first question – John the Baptist was a voice of one calling: “In the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert (or wastelands) a highway for our God.” (Isaiah 40:3).  John’s message was one of baptism, repentance and forgiveness of sin (in preparing our hearts for the King of Glory to come and abide in us…)

I believe the “way, or highway” spoken of here is the highway of holiness described in the book of Isaiah 35:8-10, which says:

And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness;
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it.

No lion will be there,
nor any ravenous beast;
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there,

and those the Lord has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

I believe the way we “prepare” this highway, is by first of all humbly asking Jesus to come and inhabit our hearts and our lives, and being careful to always guard our hearts so no evil thing can find a place there…

But also, by laying our lives down for one another, so the crevices or deep places of the highway are filled in…
And by humbling ourselves and sharing our heartaches and struggles with one another, and comforting others as we have been comforted, so the rough places, or “high places” are evened out…

So the ones that come after us have an easier time of it and can “find their way” to salvation, to God’s healing, to the gifts and callings and mantles of authority He’s placed on their lives…
So they can walk this highway of holiness also, which leads to the Mountain of Holiness, while becoming holy themselves as they lead a consecrated life unto God themselves…

And we all become that great mountain of holiness that fills the whole earth, after the “Rock formed without hands” destroys the kingdoms of carnal man and the devil, as described in the book of Daniel…

Daniel 2:34-35:  A Rock was formed without hands, and it struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them.  Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed all at the same time and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them was found. But THE ROCK (JESUS) THAT STRUCK THE STATUE BECAME A GREAT MOUNTAIN AND FILLED THE WHOLE EARTH.

I believe what we’re really talking about is the heavenly Kingdom crushing the kingdoms of carnal man and the devil, then filling the earth… that’s what the violence is about.

Jesus began His years of ministry (after His 40-day fast) by preaching: “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand.” Matt 4:17

The message then was obvious… the Kingdom of God was right there in the person of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the One who came in the flesh and brought heaven to earth.

The message now is the same, and just as obvious to everyone who’s asked Jesus to come into their hearts – the Kingdom of God is STILL here, in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the One who came in the flesh, then went back to be with the Father in heaven for a time, then returned in spirit, to now live in the heart and life of every person who believes in Him, to rule and reign with everyone of the Father’s sons and daughters (joint heirs with Christ), who are seated with Christ in high places, far above all the powers of darkness and wisdom of man.

But ALSO, MORE than that, we are to PRAY that the Kingdom of Heaven come to earth… as Jesus instructed His disciples (and us) to pray, the prayer we call “the Lord’s Prayer” –

“Your Kingdom come, God, Your will be done, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN” –

MEANING, we are ONLY to allow here on earth what’s already allowed in heaven… binding everything that’s NOT in heaven, and loosing everything that IS, until the earth is filled with the glory of God and we once again reflect heaven on earth, just the way we did before the fall.

How does that rock your world?!

A simple truth (if you have faith of a child), but certainly NOT easy…

That’s the struggle… the violence that the heavens have been suffering since the time of John the Baptist.

“It” is the Kingdom of God, the “thing” that “the violent” (those of us who are empowered by Christ to overcome the world) take by force

It doesn’t happen by magic; it’s not automatic.  It happens when those of us who believe in Christ and have been empowered by Him as overcomers, finally rise to our rightful place as joint heirs with Him in governing (binding and loosing); finally breaking the devil’s strongholds and releasing God’s Kingdom in unprecedented ways so heaven truly does invade earth and we begin to more perfectly reflect heaven here… through prayer and worship, but also as we live out our lives in complete surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives, 24/7.

It started with John the Baptist, who was crying out for the way to be prepared for the Kingdom of heaven to inhabit the earth; and there’s been a struggle in the heavenlies to do so, ever since.

That’s what the earth is moaning and groaning for – the releasing of mature sons and daughters to walk in Kingdom authority in turning this whole thing around once and forevermore…

And what the earth is REJOICING over in Isaiah 35 — what the earth will be like when we’ve finally taken our place, seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above the powers of darkness and wisdom of man — when we finally start ruling and reigning as the real “church” or “ecclesia,” the governing body of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the One who came in the flesh, and earth finally reflects heaven:

Joy of the Redeemed:

The desert and the parched land will be glad (no longer moaning and groaning for the release of mature sons and daughters because we’ve finally been released 😊 – maybe this is why I like the desert so much, I don’t know…;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
they will see the glory of the Lord (revealed in His Sons and Daughters),
the splendor of our God.

Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees that give way
say to those with fearful hearts,
“Be strong, do not fear;
your God (will) HAS come (Jesus in the lives of all who trust in Him) – keep in mind, this was written before Jesus came to live in the hearts and lives of His people, so He hadn’t “come” back yet,
He HAS come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
He HAS come to save you.”

Then will the eyes of the (spiritually) blind be opened
and the ears of the (spiritually) deaf unstopped (when we realize what our real purpose in redeeming the world is all about – it’s about fulfilling or completing the will of the Lord that started when He sent Jesus to SAVE (NOT condemn) the world, and showed us how to live for Him, picking up our cross and following in His footsteps in redeeming the world).
Then will the lame leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water (voices) will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams (voices) in the desert.
The burning sand will become a pool (of living water),
the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
In the haunts where jackals once lay,
grass and reeds and papyrus will grow

And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Highway of Holiness;
it will be for those who walk on that Way (the way of the Lord).
The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it
No lion will be there,
nor any ravenous beast;
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there,
and those the Lord has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion (the mountain of holiness, the place of the redeemed) with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads
Gladness and joy will overtake them
and sorrow and sighing will flee away
(when earth finally reflects heaven in every way, just like it did in the garden of Eden, before sin entered the world and started messing everything up.)

This is why I believe for heaven on earth; because I believe it’s been mandated by God, and it WILL happen, with or without our permission (smile); God’s not negotiating this, not making any bargains… it’s His will and it WILL happen…

The only decision we have to make is whether we want to be a part of it or not.  The way won’t be easy, but trust me, the results will more than make up for any hardship you encounter on the way.  How do I know?  Because I’ve already seen the first fruits of my laboring in the Lord, doing my part to usher in His kingdom as I help facilitate gatherings to worship and pray and wait on the Lord as He comes to minister to His people… and since I know this is just a taste of what’s to come, I have only GREAT anticipation, because I KNOW it’s gonna be far greater than any of us can even imagination.

So my only question of you today is, will you join me in believing for the greatest transformation this world’s ever seen, as we join our faith together in believing for God’s heavenly kingdom to so thoroughly invade earth that it finally begins to reflect heaven?

I KNOW it’s His will, and I’d so LOVE to see it begin to unfold in unprecedented ways, wouldn’t you?

If so, please join me in agreeing in prayer for the Holy Spirit to bring such an outpouring of a spirit of conviction to visit the heart of every believer, along with a spirit of grace to be able to recognize and turn from any and all wrongful ways of thinking and/or living, so that our Father in heaven will hear from heaven, forgive our sin and HEAL OUR LAND (2 Chron 7:14), and so people everywhere will start reflecting the glory of God, and earth will finally start looking like heaven.
